Cycle Werkz Ends a Successful 2016 Season
The 2016 season is over and it’s been more than Team Cycle Werkz/DME Racing could have hoped for. Transitioning from professional road (circuit) race tuning to drag racing was a big change and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Fortunately, Brandon Mitchan signed on to ride and it was lightning in a bottle. His talent and professionalism put down a 6.96 quarter mile ET this year with, 1.17, 3.08, 4.57 short times. We finished the Man Cup Pro Street season third in points and zero red lights in competition!
Our progression could not have been possible without the support of DME Racing, Dimey Eddinger, Andy Sawyer and crew. DME came on early in the season and were instrumental in our success with their high quality parts, as well as steering us in the right direction with their championship winning experience.
It takes a lot to go pro racing and we appreciate everyone how has a hand in our success this year. Thanks to Skip Dowling at Orient Express, Richard Peppler of RCC Turbo, Steve Upchurch at Racing Engine Service, Justin Doucet for his fast guy advice, Chris Connelly Jr. and Chris Connelly of Pro Stock Inc for their help and hospitality, Sebastian Domingo with input on AMS 2000 tunes, and Cole Mountain Seitzinger who nailed down our sixty foots from 1.23 to 1.17.
Also thanks to all the competitors, officials and press who welcomed a new team into the pits and made us feel right at home, offering advice, lending resource, taking pictures and more.
Looking forward to 2017 we hope to build on our success with a bigger team in Pro Street and entries into other classes as well. Interested in next years program? Contact us at email@example.com.
