Shawn Welch

“I am Hated Motorsports, don’t forget it”

Hated Motorsports owner and the ‘F-Bomb’ pilot, Shawn Welch, passed away on Sunday night, April 12th from a heart attack. Welch was only 47 years old and know as a fierce racer on the track. Shawn Welch got the name for his company “Hated Motorsports” from hearing it so much in the staging lanes. It turns out when people found out they were lining up against Welch, they just “hated” it, hence the name. Shawn was a true sportsman, passionate about racing, competitive, but always there to help a fellow racer in need. He was a driven goal setter, every year he always had something he wanted to win or a goal to meet. Most weekends you would find him at the race track with his family and laughing with friends, he will be dearly missed by many.

Please keep his family in your prayers during this tough time and drop them a line on his facebook page with a memory of Shawn, CLICK HERE.
