9:00am – Race day has started and the weather forecast has improved dramatically!!!  The staging lanes are full of ET bikes and Fabian is dazzling us with his knowledge of race stats!!

11:15am – Top Sportsman is being paired up and the first round of Pro racing will follow. Jason Miller and the track staff are out doing some serious track prep for the day. We were down for about 10 minutes because of a motorhome fire but everything has been out and no one was injured.

Don’t forget to always support the companies that support our sport. MTC Engineering has everything you need to build power into your race program. Check them out at

1:30pm – Second round of Pros are in the lanes and all first round videos and time sheets have been posted. In Real Street Eddie Chapman took the win over Anibal Merced, but because Eddie didn’t go to tech, he was DQ’d. So Anibal will be back for round 3 with the bye to the finals.

In Pro Street Terence Angela’s bike problems continued to plaque him in the second round, giving Darion Payne the win. Teammates Mike Bayes and Jason Angela had to run each other in the second round, Bayes has been on a consistent up swing on the Ronnie Mitchell Tuned bike running a 7.081 for the win.

3:00pm – we are currently still in the sportsman and ET sessions. The Pros are due back up around 4:15.

6:00pm – We are in round robin mode and will keep posting video to the playlist below as rounds finish.

8:30pm – Racing has finished and the Final round information is posted below. We are uploading all he final rounds of sportsman now and can be found below in the Week Video Playlist.

1:00pm – So far while most racers are struggling, Richard Gadson ran a  7.06 in testing on the Brad Mummert GS Pro Street bike with  a 1.18 60′. Happy Birthday S/O to Eddie Chapman!

ANNOUNCEMENT – Jason and Chris Miller announced a new policy starting today. All Orient Express Pro Street, DME Racing Real Street, and Vance & Hines 4.60 Index racers can make shakedown runs in Grudge on Sunday if you lose in eliminations at no charge!

5:30pm – The Early test session is an hour away from closing. We had an hour of down time due to some rain but the MDIR staff quickly took care of that and the Miller’s extended the test session.

6:00pm – After some afternoon struggles on the DME Pro Street bike, piloted by Joey Gladstone, they finally made it down the track with a 6.90 at 207. Richard Gadson made another pass and improved his earlier 7.06 to a 7.01. Looks like they are ready for a 6 on their next pass. Their best pass on the old school style GS 1100 nitrous bike is 6.987. You can check the Orient Express Pro Street GOAT List to see where all the Pro Street guys rank.

7:00pm – Doug Witt improves on his PB to a 7.05 in Pro Street. At the last IDBL event he ran a 7.06. In Real Street we have seen some great numbers form Roger Starrette and Birthday boy Eddie Chapman with a 7.80 and 7.78 respectively. John Gover will not be running in Pro Street this weekend, instead he has enlisted the services of jockey rider Jordan Hasse.

7:30pm – The Gambler’s race has started and we just got word that Mac McAdams and Jim Shifflett have swapped bikes for tonights races. This could become interesting! Dave Norris is here setting up his no Pro Extreme Motorcycle for the next PDRA race.  Dave blasts at 4.19 out of the gate! Looks like he is on the right track!

10:30pm – Bob Carlson takes the win in the Friday Night Gamblers race of Dave Clinedinst! You can see the video of it below in our video playlist.

11:00pm – During the Pro Street time session, Doug Witt ran a new PB in Pro Street – a 6.99! Now we need him to do that tomorrow during qualifying to make it official for the Orient Express Pro Street GOAT List. We are about to wrap up Friday night testing and we will be back on the track tomorrow at 9am!!! Get some rest!

Friday Night Gambler winner – Bob Carlson

9:00am – Motorcycles have filled the lanes and we are racing here in Maryland! The weather is beautiful right now and we are clear. If you haven’t already, make sure you head over to the IDBL Facebook page and click the ‘Like’ button to stay up to day on al the IDBL racing action.

1:00pm – Leading your sportsman qualifying after the first session are Tyler Cammock in 4.60 with a 4.607, Jim Mauro in 5.60 with a 5.604, and Boo Brown in Crazy 8′ with a 8.882. The Top Sportsman category has an ET range of 7.618 by Tony Buckler and a 8.574 by Kelvin Bradley.

2:30pm – Joey Gladstone just reset the Real Street all Motor record with a 8.042!!

3:00pm – IDBL does it again with another record breaking turnout, the current bike count is at 642 which is over 30 bikes form last year. And we sill have racers coming int he gate as there are another round of ET races that can be entered for Sunday! The Vance and Hines 4.60 class also has a record turnout with 28 bikes in first round of qualifying!!!

4:00pm – We have to give Cole Seitzinger from Penske Shocks a shoutout! He has, hands down, spent the most time out on the starting line and in the pits helping racers get their shocks set up!  And it’s no joke HOT out!

5:00pm – Crystal Dickerson Jackson has entered into the Pro Street class and made a qualifying pass in second round to get herself into a now 16 bike field. After two rounds she sits in the 13th spot with a 8.552. She is officially the first female to enter Pro Street on a 1000. Joey Gladstone still sits atop of qualifying with  6.891. But the biggest number that went on the board in round two of the Orient Express Pro Street , was Terence Angela’s 210 mph pass! The DME Racing tuned bike only ran a 7.13 that round but the MPH was impressive!

10:33 – Long time no update. We have been busy here at MDIR. You will see below we have added all rounds of Pro qualifying today. You can visit the Tim Sheets tab above to see all the ladders we have so far. We are adding time sheets as we get them. Hot Rod Chrissy took a million photos and we will be posting them in the Photos tab above all weekend.

Jason Miller announced an impromptu stock Grom race. Jordan Haase took the win of Joey Gladstone. Jordan Haase then called out Jeremy Teasley for a Grom grudge run. Jordon took that win as well. Then Richard Gadson wanted some of Jordan Haase and Jordan took his money as well! Great job to Jordan Haase tonight!

Right now we are still running the ET eliminations and Afterdark Underground! Racing starts tomorrow at 9am. And oh yeah, the forecast for tomorrow isn’t showing rain! Take that Dustin Lee.

11:00pm – Bob Carlson takes the Street ET Win over Michael Herman Jr. and Andy Baumbach takes the win over Norman Teal for the Pro ET Win. Congrats to Carlson and Baumbach
