At the 42nd Annual, Mann Hill Garage, World Finals, presented by Kibblewhite Precision Machine, the Orangeburg Cycles Racing class of Pro Fuel will bring their brand of nitromethane based excitement to the fans with all the wheels up excitement the fuel Harleys are known for. Side-by-side, V-Twin thunder, flames belching out of the pipes, front tire dangling in the air for the majority of the passes down the 1320.

Leading the way into the final race of the season is the 2017, Pro Fuel Champion, Preston Bartlett of Florida, currently has a slim lead, in championship points. Preston Bartlett has 262 points over Sam White’s 255 point bid, so it’s anyone’s race to win here. Both racers will have to qualify deep and go rounds on Sunday to secure the Orangeburg Cycles Racing, Pro Fuel championship. But both racers will have to contend with a strong talent pool of racers who can upset the apple cart at any time.

Kirby Apathy, also of Florida, has 110 points and he’s not really concerned with catching anyone, except the good graces of Lady Luck, who has turned her back on Kirby for most of 2018. Kirby commented recently “It’s been strange to start off the season with a 7.16, right off the trailer at the first Man Cup event, then go 7.19 and have little Gremlins take us out again and again. In our first four races this year we qualified #1, set low ET of the event and again a little Gremlin out of nowhere just ending our race day. It’s been crazy this year for us.”

Other Pro Fuel standouts we are likely to see at the Man Cup World Finals include: Janette Thornley, Jay Beasley, Jim Martin, and Rocky Jackson.

New to the competition field will be Justin Collier, of Orlando, Florida with his new “B-Fuel” nitro Harley, which he will race in P/F. “I have to add 65 pounds to it, but we will be there getting some laps in.” Justin loves racing Harleys and has been a gas-man for years. But now he’s ready for some nitromethane in his life, but does not have the wherewithal to step up to Pro Fuel. So he built what he could afford and it’s a perfect fit for the old “B-Fuel” class. A smaller rear tire, smaller motor, knife & fork rods are some of the major differences between a B/F bike and a P/F bike, but they both tip-the-can and run near straight CH3NO2 for fuel. “We are looking to get some seat time on the new bike and we hope to inspire others to come out and build B-Fuel bikes. Maybe we can get a good class going next year in 2019.”

The dedication to innovation and with the accent on fuel racing, this bodes well for the future of motorcycle drag racing. Justin is leading the way for the B-Fuel guys and is not afraid to mix it up in the Pro Fuel ranks, so the more nitro bikes the merrier. The 42nd Annual, Man Cup, Mann Hill Garage, World Finals, will take place at the South Georgia Motorsports Park complex, in Adel, Georgia on November 15-18, presented by Kibblewhite Precision Machine.
