The Man Cup presented by Vance & Hines is excited to announce two very big changes which will become effective immediately. These changes are a direct result of the Man Cup’s commitment to not only improve the series, but by listening to racer feedback to do so. It’s no surprise that the weather forecast plays a factor in racer’s decisions in regards to attending races. With the scorching hot temperatures and potential rain that has surrounded some of the races this year, there has been some classes that had smaller fields than normal.
With the Man Cup participation based payout structure, this has resulted in some classes having a smaller payout than normal. We have listened to the racers and Schnitz Racing has stepped up to guarantee a minimum payout in select classes. The following classes will payout each class winner a guaranteed minimum as seen below for the last two races of the year.
Sportsman Purses guaranteed by Schnitz Racing:
Street Fighter | $500 Min | $1000 Max |
Crazy 8’s | $500 Min | $1200 Max |
Street ET | $600 Min | $1500 Max |
Pro ET | $1200 Min | $3000 Max |
Super Comp | $1000 Min | $2000 Max |
Top Gas | $1500 Min | $3000 Max |
Real Street | $500 Min | $1000 Max |
That’s not to say the winner and other round winners won’t receive more, as every sportsman purse goes up with increased entries! However, this now guarantees the sportsman racers have even more incentive to battle it out with the best racers in the country.
Ben Knight Added to the Roster
The second big change is the addition of a staff member to the final two races. The Man Cup has tapped Ben Knight to join the staff. Ben brings a unique back ground of having managed Bristol Dragway and of course is a well known and respected racer himself. Mr. Knight will be a welcome addition to the Man Cup staff. Ben will work closely with Dave and Jay and his duties will cover a wide variety of event operations. The Man Cup feels this additional staffing help will continue to insure each event is operated fairly and efficiently. Ben will be most visible in the staging lanes as he assists with the pairing and movement of each class. Racers will be encouraged to provide their feedback directly to him throughout the event so he, and Man Cup ownership can continually improve the Man Cup product at each and every event.
With the announcement of these two changes, the Man Cup presented by Vance & Hines series wants to show our customers that we appreciate your feedback and will continue to listen when our racers provide input. We invite you and your friends to attend the final two Man Cup events and let us know how the changes we are implementing are doing. As always, Thank you for your continued support of the Man Cup presented by Vance & Hines, North America’s premier national event motorcycle drag racing series.
