Scott Kauffman, a dedicated dragbike industry competitor and supporter is from Lebanon, IN by way of Indianapolis, IN. Though, for many years he competitively raced bicycles, on the road, track (velodrome) and mountain bikes. Kauffman’s initial visit to the racetrack ignited a passion for racing that continues to grow. He began motorcycle racing on a KZ 900. After the small KZ, he graduated to the big motor KZ bar bike with a slider. From there he wanted to go fast without wheelie bars, be able to ride it back from the end of the track, and still be competitive in the bracket-racing scene.
He currently races a 2000 Hayabusa “Addiction”. Racing for 20 years has brought Kauffman great joy. A few of the contributing factors include: beating Venom, best looking drag racer, winning Pro ET at an NHDRO event, and being competitive on a no bar bike in Pro ET. Not only is he talented in building a grudge bike that was fast and unbeatable, that is until it blew up, he is a sponsor of NHDRO! He has not missed an NHDRO event, it is just that important to him to support the NHDRO series. He enjoys how the people feel like family, the competition, and events! Not to mention the second to none event nightlife.
