Maryland Race Moves to Virginia With New Date
The Professional Drag Racers Association’s (PDRA) third race of its revised seven-race 2020 season is moving from Maryland International Raceway (MDIR) to Virginia Motorsports Park (VMP), series officials announced today.
The PDRA North-South Shootout presented by Frederick Line-X, originally scheduled for July 16-18 at MDIR, is moving back a week to July 23-25. The race is now called the Pro Line Racing Mid-Atlantic Showdown presented by Frederick Line-X. Virginia Motorsports Park is just two hours south of MDIR.

Based in Fredericksburg, Va., the Professional Drag Racers Association is the top sanctioning body in the United States for the sport of eighth-mile drag racing. The PDRA’s professional categories include Pro Boost, Pro Nitrous, Extreme Pro Stock, Pro Nitrous Motorcycle and Pro Outlaw 632. The series also features sportsman racing in Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Pro Jr. Dragster and Top Jr. Dragster. The 2019 PDRA schedule consists of eight national events.
