For the second time in his short career, Mike Slowe has graced the Photo of the Week. Last season it was for his accomplishments in the MIROCK 60” Pro Sportbike class where he won the championship. This time Slowe gets the honors for his performance in Streetbike Shootout at the AMA/Prostar MRE Nationals. Slowe, riding the www.VelocityRacing.com turbo Hayabusa, had what has to be the most spectacular professional debut in Prostar history. In his first lap down the track in qualifying, Slowe slapped the Streetbike Shootout record with a jaw-dropping 7.47 at 193 mph and went on to take the event victory. Velocity Racing owner Barry Henson said he was planning to switch from his Honda CBR1100XX to the Hayabusa as soon as it was “competitive”. Hey Barry, you have to slow it down to be “competitive”. Right now it rocks the world!
