Product Review: Wilburn Motorsports air shifter

Every now and then I stumble across little jewels
and goodies that you all need to know about and this one is one of them. I happened
across this goodie while talking to Chuck Wilburn at Wilburn Motorsports. It’s
a pressure switch for your air shifter pump motor.
You simply screw the WMS pressure switch into
one of the 1/8npt ports in your air tank.
Connect one wire to a switched 12 volt source.
Connect the other wire to the positive terminal on your air compressor. You
may still use your compressor toggle if you like. This will keep the compressor
from turning on every time the tank is below 95psi. For instance, you may not
want your compressor to turn on automatically every time you turn the key on.
For this installation, take the wire from your toggle that goes to the compressor
and connect it to one of the wires on the WMS pressure switch. Now connect the
other wire from the WMS pressure switch to the compressor. Once you turn the
toggle on, the WMS pressure switch will keep your tank full automatically. The
compressor will turn on at 95psi and turn off at 125psi, now how easy is that?
