Richard Gadson Racing Announces a Winner : Ariel Carter
At the end of February Richard Gadson announced he would be donating a brand new set of leathers to one lucky winner. Gadson won the 2015 NHDRO Pro Comp Championship onboard his Fasttime Motorsports Suzuki, which earned him a free set of Route 21 leathers for 2016!
“I want to thank everyone who submitted an essay, this was a tough choice” said Gadson. “I thought everyone who entered deserved the leathers! If I had enough suits, I’d give each one of you one. Unfortunately, we had to pick one. So myself and the Fasttime Motorsports team reviewed each applicant and went through the criteria and decided to award them to Ariel Carter. Ariel is just starting racing, never had the opportunity before this year. So I think it’s appropriate to make sure she has the right gear. She comes from a family of racers and good people in the racing community. I wish her and everyone that participate all the best of luck. I also want to thank Brian Welch of NHDRO, without him, this wouldn’t be possible.”
Ariel Carters winning Essay:
My name is Ariel Carter. I am a 19-year-old college student from Quitman, GA. I’ve been around the racing industry and I have talked about racing for many years; even before I was able to drive. This year will be my first year racing. I’ve saved my money and finally, my dream of racing will come true. I have a drag bike that I am currently building. Until it is complete I will be getting seat time on a street bike.
If I am chosen to win a free pair of racing leathers, I would be so grateful. My safety comes first before anything. I feel having a good quality pair of leathers would be essential to my safety and would help me financially. These leathers would be the last thing I need to get started racing this race season. #RGR #Fasttimemotorsports #NHDRO
Ariel Says Thanks
“I would like to take this time to thank Ricahrd Gadson Racing, Fasttime Motorsports, Brian Welch of NHDRO and all of those that were apart of making the final decision of determining who would be the recipient of the RGR Racing leathers contest” said Carter. “My heart is just so overwhelmed with joy right now. I am speechless. I am so very grateful and thankful for being chosen as a winner. This is truly gratefule for this honor. I truly thank everyone that saw potential in me and are willing to take time to teach and help me succeed with my dream of racing.”
“Also a special thanks to my Father Garrett “P-Wee” Carter, for allowing me to follow my dreams of wanting to become a female drag racers. Without him I wouldn’t have this opportunity to be able to race.”
