The War Begins: XDA Drops the Hammer on 2026
The Xtreme Dragbike Association opens its 2026 season with the 32nd Annual PGS Spring Nationals, running April 24–26 at Maryland International Raceway. It’s a big one: 18 classes, more than 600 racers, a packed vendor midway, and over $100,000 on the line. If you’ve been waiting for the season to start, the wait is almost over.
The full class lineup spans everything from Pro to Sportsman:
Orient Express – Pro Street
DME Racing – Real Street
MaxxECU – Pro Xtreme
1 Stop Speed – 4.60 Index
HTP Performance – Super Stock
ATV Shootout
AGM – Boosted Bulls
Shore Car Wash Solutions – Nitrous Bulls
Monster Bulls
Tommie’s Motorsports – DMV Bulls
All Motor Bulls
HTP Performance – Grudge
Capital Brand Group – 5.60 Index
Breezewood Farms – Top Sportsman
MPS – Pro ET
Brock’s Performance – Street ET
Voodoo – Bracket Bash
Pro Performance – Friday Gambler’s Race
Orient Express Racing Pro Street
Orient Express Racing Pro Street is where things get genuinely hard to believe. Twenty-plus turbocharged, supercharged, and nitrous-injected motorcycles running the quarter-mile in six seconds at over 240 mph. The machines put out north of 650 horsepower apiece, and these guys have spent the whole off-season finding more of it.
The veterans are back with bikes that have been torn apart and rebuilt over the winter, but keep an eye on Kyle Stocki and possibly Mac McAdams, as both will be new to the class and capable of making things interesting right out of the gate.
DME Racing Real Street
Twenty-three riders are confirmed for DME Racing Real Street, and the class might be deeper than it’s ever been. Passes run in the sevens at 190-plus mph, side by side, and the V-Twin outlaw bikes are back again this year with that unmistakable sound. It’s one of those classes where an upset feels possible in any round, which is exactly what makes it so fun to watch.
MaxxECU Pro Xtreme
MaxxECU Pro Xtreme runs the 1/8-mile, and 660 feet has never looked more violent. Turbo, supercharged, nitrous, whatever it takes to get down the track, and qualifying spots are limited, so there’s no room to coast. Every session counts.
MaxxECU Pro Xtreme is presented by Billy Vose Racing, Fast by Gast, Dunigan Racing, DME Racing, Grothus Dragbikes, Harley Haul, Rob Bush Motorsports, Robinson Industries, Schnitz Racing, Timblin Chassis, and Worldwide Bearings, Pro Performance and Mikronite.
HTP Performance Super Stock
HTP Performance Super Stock is a different kind of challenge. No electronics, no wheelie bars, just a hand clutch, a stock wheelbase, a naturally aspirated production bike, and the rider’s own ability to hold it together. Every launch is manual, every shift is unassisted, and the margin for error is basically zero. It’s a class that rewards the people who’ve actually put in the time.
ATV Shootout
These aren’t your average ATVs. They’re purpose-built drag machines, custom fabricated, running nitrous or turbo or all-motor setups, and they make a sound in the 1/8-mile that you genuinely have to hear to understand. Four-second passes, heads-up racing, and nothing else at the track quite looks or sounds like it.
1 Stop Speed 4.60 Index
Billed as the world’s fastest 1/8-mile sportsman index class, the 1 Stop Speed 4.60 Index is exactly what it sounds like: you’re trying to run a 4.60 at 140-plus mph without going faster. Launch, shift, reaction time, consistency, everything has to come together. The fields here are deep, and races often come down to a few hundredths. It’s the kind of class where experience matters, but a newcomer who’s dialed in can beat anyone.
Saturday Night: Champions, Cash, and Grudges
Saturday evening is split in two. The first part is a ceremony recognizing the 2025 XDA Champions and Top Ten finishers across every class, with a chance for fans to win $1,000 in cash giveaways courtesy of Platinum General Services and Ralphie Navarro. It’s a good time to meet the people who made last season worth watching.
Then, from 4 PM to 11 PM, it becomes something else entirely. The HTP Performance Afterdark Underground Grudge and the Running of the Bulls take over, and the atmosphere shifts. These are matchups that get made in the pits and settled on a track prepped by #KillerMiller specifically for this. No official clocks, no points, just bikes, reputations, and a crowd that knows exactly what’s at stake.
Sportsman Racing: The Backbone of XDA
Six Sportsman classes, $28,000 in guaranteed payouts per event, and some of the most competitive bracket and index racing around. Whether you’ve been doing this for twenty years or you’re chasing your first win light, there’s a place for you here.
Capital Brand Group 5.60 Index – 1/8-mile index racing that demands consistency and quick reactions. Hit the target, don’t break out, and repeat.
Breezewood Farms Top Sportsman – The fastest machines in the Sportsman ranks, where a slight mistake in reaction time or dial-in can end your day.
VooDoo Components Bracket Bash – Classic bracket racing. Know your bike, run your number, and stay sharp through every round.
MPS Racing Pro ET – Bar bikes and no-bar machines together, sorted out by consistency and setup.
Brock’s Performance Street ET – Street-legal bikes, real riders, and the kind of tight racing that keeps people watching.
Pro Performance Gambler’s Race – Friday night, cash on the line, crowd around the fence. A good way to start a weekend.
The 2026 season opens April 24–26 at Maryland International Raceway. Come out and watch, or line up and #RaceWithXDA.
