Update on 311 for Mr. 311
Stephen Serafini and Fab U This come onboard
TLN Motorsports went into the Loring Timing Association’s Harvest Event with a total of 251 Land Speed Racing Records under their belt, 60 records short of the 311 goal the team has set to honor Bill Warner. Rider Greg Neal had these comments about Bill Warner. Bill’s 311 mph speed at Loring was and is an amazing accomplishment that will never be forgotten. Bill was more than the King of Speed; He was a friend to all, a racer who took time for everyone and an ambassador for the sport of Land Speed Racing. Bill didn’t seek the attention, but he was our icon. He knew about us all and the struggles and success we had. He was always the first with words of encouragement or congratulations. TLN Motorsports is both grateful and honored to have the opportunity to attempt to set 311 Land Speed Racing records as a way to honor the memory of the legend and a friend.
At the end of the event TLN Motorsports had set an incredible 46 mew Land Speed Racing records bringing rider Greg Neal and TLN Motorsports to 297 time Land Speed Record holder. The success of the team was amazing, but a serious mechanical failure had ended the season for the teams ZX-6R, a key piece in the chase to 311 records. It was a loss that really took all the wind out of the sails at TLN Motorsports. The question was now, how do we get to 311 and can we get it done in 2016 to meet our goal. At a time the team should be happy and celebrating a huge achievement, it was quiet and there were just to many questions with no answers to be found.
The answer to our questions was only a few pit stalls away. In a conversation at the race track on the afternoon after the mechanical issues with the 600 Don Hass and Stephen Serafini came up with the answer.
We at TLN Motorsports are so proud to announce a partnership with Stephen Serafini and Fab U This to campaign a turbo Vmax in the 2016 Land Speed Racing season. The offer from Stephen was one that rider Greg Neal jumped on. “I’ve been watching the Hass/Serafini Racing team for many years and what they are able to accomplish is mind blowing. To have an opportunity to ride a motorcycle prepared by Stephen out of the Fab U this stable is a dream come true and something I have always wanted to do. Top it off with the fact that the bike is a Vmax, Bill’s favorite bike. That’s the motorcycle we will set record 311 on. It’s just how it is supposed to happen.”
The opportunity to be a part of the Fab U This team has re-energized the TLN Motorsports team. To work with some of the most well respected people in the fabrication and racing business is something that just doesn’t happen every day. Stephen Serafini is a master fabricator. His work is pure art. When you see something that he has created you can’t help but stare in amazement. The Hass/Serafini team has had tremendous success in Land Speed Racing and the new creation they have is a motorcycle destined to make Land Speed Racing history. There is excitement in the air and record 311 will be set in 2016 on 311 N. Bill Warner Blvd on a Fab U This prepared turbo Vmax. Everything happens for a reason and we are truly blessed to have such an opportunity. I expect she may look a little different before next season. We will definitely not be on a rigid chassis, but one thing is obvious. The bike will be fast and a record setter. At TLN Motorsports we are already looking forward to 2016 and a new chapter in our racing efforts. Thanks to Stephen Serafini and Fab U This the chase to 311 continues.
