Fastest of the World Open Street Harley’s
August 29-30, 2015
This past weekend at Naperville Dragway Ken Miller took the win in the Open Street class at the Canadian ‘Fastest of the World Open Street Harley’s event’.
“Napierville Dragway is one of the nicest tracks I have been to with hospitality second to none.” said Miller Regardless of the outcome my team was looking forward to a great weekend of racing since the weather conditions were in our favor. So far this year I’ve had a runner-up in NHRA Street Pro in Norwalk and I am currently holding 8th in points at AMRA in the Outlaw Street class. So going into this event I have felt good about the year so far, especially since this is only my 3rd year racing.”
“This weekend I was entered in the Open Street class with 12 other competitors, 4 Americans and 9 Canadians. It’s always fun to travel to different places to race and having a mixture of competition from al lover makes it even more competitive.”
Qualifying went well landing the 3rd qualifying position with a 8.733 at 154 mph.
Q1 – 8.75 @ 153 mph
Q2 – 8.73 @ 154 mph
Q3 – 8.76 @ 153 mph
“In first round of eliminations I ran a 8.62 really picking up some ET, however in round 2 the chain got a little loose and nicked my fuel tank under my seat. My good buddy Julio and I repaired it just in time to make 3rd round and I ran a 8.57 for the win.”
“I took the win over Crête Perfo Rmance in the final round, but that wasn’t the best part! In the final round I ran my career best ET with a 8.57 and best 60’ with a 1.311 – WOW I was excited about that!”
I’d like to thank my supportive family: Debbie, Kenny, and Eric for help with preparation, design and fabrication.
